VRCC does not provide actual 24-hour critical care veterinary care as they advertise. In fact, their vets only assess patients once per day in the morning. VRCC's overnight shift vets do NOT monitor ICU patients and will not provide any updates, so it is actually a 12-hour care facility. When I called to check on my pet during the overnight shift, I was told that the overnight vets only assess and treat new, incoming patients and do provide any care or monitoring for previously admitted patients. I had a recent terrible experience with the internal medicine department. My elderly dog is under their care and getting worse, which has me very concerned. Instead of receiving compassion from them I was told I was rude and while the woman I was speaking to hung up on me she called me an idiot.

Julie Aiello in the emergency department at the VRCC should not be "practicing" veterinary medicine!!! Summary – she wanted to kill my dog, she said that the dog would be dead within 4 days. I refused, and my dog has been happy and enjoying life for almost a year, and still going strong. I’m so glad that I did not take Julie’s advice, and that I did not allow her to kill my precious, loving, and gentle dog. Julie Aiello was rude to me and has zero compassion for animals or people.
