I recently had procedures on both eyes. I cannot say enough about Dr Assam and his entire staff. Dr Assam is amazing and explains procedures and spends time answering questions. I am so pleased with my outcome. We are truly blessed to have a Retinal Specialist with his expertise in Sioux Falls!
I was referred to VRA Vision to establish care as my current health care provider does not have a retina specialist on staff. I had an appointment & was given options of start drops or have injections, this made me uncomfortable as I was only there to establish care. I canceled all of my future appointments at VRA as I got a second opinion a week later that confirmed my suspicion, no drops or injections needed. After a bad experience at automatology LTD. I can tell you that Dr Assam at VRA is the best I've ever experienced he gave me hope and cared this is the eye doctor to go to in all of South Dakota. Based on my bad experience this is a gem all his staff are amazing.
Doctor Assam is very patient and understanding! I went to an appointment to have a second opinion after having a poor experience at a different clinic . He took his time and explained treatment procedures. He gave me homework to review in my leisure time, to read up on my diagnosis. The small clinic feel is perfect for individual attention and for a great experience!
Dr. Assam and his staff were absolutely great. Before my appointment, they were very informative on the phone, answering my questions about insurance, etc. When I arrived to my appointment, the staff guided me through the paperwork and were a real pleasure to work with. Dr. Assam's confidence and professionalism was comforting, and he was spot-on with advice and my diagnosis. I'm very impressed with the team at VRA.
