Vonderhaar and I have been working together for almost a decade now. They have always provided high quality service.
I have only had great service from Vonderhaars they have installed a new fireplace makes our home look modern, fixed our chimney and 4 years I went to them for our roof their the only ones I trust .. Great Family
Don’t call them for repairs . I was told by the owner that parts were not available for my fireplace that manufacturer was no longer in business and the entire fireplace needed to be replaced for 12,500 . Thank goodness I called another company . It wasn’t a valve issue after all and the company he pretended to call is in business . Vonderhaar just wants to sell and install new fireplaces . Mine was fixed by the other company I called and it was less than 1,000.
Business response:
The unit in question had a gas explosion and the glass broke and customer said there was also bent metal in unit. To the best of my knowledge we never stated the company was not in business as ********** is still operating. Only ****** and ***** brands we tell customers are not made any longer. But possibly said that their specific older unit was not made any longer or we could not get parts for it. Colin with the Vonderhaar West Chester office just installed a new chimney cap for me. I had other questions and various issues regarding my fireplace, insert and chimney. He was so knowledge, helpful, and kind. I'm so thankful I chose Vonderhaar for the work, evaluation and recommendations. I will be happy to have them complete other work will for me. Used Kirk and his company to replace my gas fireplace in my Hearth Room. His initial visit was helpful as we weren't sure what we wanted the final look to be and he showed us pictures of other jobs he had done and that helped a great deal. The job was divided into 2 teams, the demolition of the old fireplace and installation of the new one and a sub-contractor who did the stone work. Heard about them on *** radio, were charged an inspection fee (most companies are free) Inspector was on time and proper introduction and told me he saw some hail damage, would take pictures and office would contact us. Received b id (expensive) no mention of hail damage as told. Would not recommend, won't listen to radio recommendations. Went with another company!
I took time off to meet the 4 hour time window. Nobody showed up,Nobody called poor service. Went with another company.
Vonderhaar has completely taken care of me. My chimney was blown off my house (yes, off my house) in my side yard in gusty wind. Vonderhaar came to my house, removed the chimney from my side yard, fixed the chimney and roof, and replaced the wood burning fireplace with a gas fireplace. They stayed extra time to tile the new fireplace and put up a beautiful mantle. I was going to do the tile and mantle on my own, but they had done such a great job, I had them do it. I had a great experience with Vonderhaar. They ended up going above and beyond the original scope of work to make sure my chimney received the necessary repairs needed. Price was the best I could find and the quality of work was good. Also good customer service. I especially want to thank Chrissy and Elaine who I had direct contact with and made sure I was taken care of. I would definitely use Vonderhaar again!!!
