About this business

The Volunteers In Medicine Clinic ( VIM ) provides free primary medical care and mental health services to low-income Lane County adults who have no insurance. More than 66, 000 residents of Lane County do not have health insurance. sub par care. inexperienced care providers. lack of training. unwillingness to order labs- resulted in death 1 time that I am personally aware of. After seeking care with them repeatedly, re a mysterious health issue over a year or more, finally went elsewhere, got a lab test. was diagnosed with blood cancer. it was too late by the time she was diagnosed, for treatment before she passed away. she was possibly seen as brown person. Is that why she is dead? I believe that, at the very least, the physicians that, through Volunt... read more

The doctors and nurses there are fantastic, friendly, caring, extremely knowledgeable, and have a great sense of humor . The only issue, the lady (withholding name) who makes the appointments for the specialists. I had an appointment last Tuesday in the am, and was told by the gynecologist that I needed to be seen in two weeks for a colposcopy. The lady who books these appointments told me he was booked, that he is taking appointments in July, and still no call, even after calling this morning.. Trying not to panic..

The two visits I've had so far have been awesome. The physician I was set up with is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He has made more progress with me in finding solutions to my health than my own PCP or OBGYN. Looking for answers and discussing options. Thank you so very much for your services! I appreciate your help and generosity.
