About this business

History Established in 2004. Award-winning chef/owner Dino Grossi and his family opened Volare Ristorante in the Fall of 2004. Located in the heart of the new downtown Wixom city center, this restaurant features a dramatic interior rich in texture and color. The philosophy is simple: use the best ingredients as simply as possible and serve them with joy and passion. As a Tuscan cooks in Chianti, as a Neapolitan cooks on the Amalfi coast, as a Sicilian cooks in Palermo, at Volare we cook as an Italian might, in the truest sen... read more

A Restaurant you have to try! The menu is amazing, almost daunting but was made clear by the superb waiter. The best meatsauce I've ever had, truly! Extremely good food and service. A place you can take anyone and have one of the best dining experiences you've ever had. Looked like Martinis were the drink of the day, upscale but comfortable. The meals may be pricey, but worth every dime.. The spelling of the restaurant is Volare Ristorante.

charming experience this is a pretty restaurant with live music on weekends. The food is delicious and the ambience makes for a nice evening. The service has always been good in my experience

High Class Dining Experience Though we walked in not knowing what to expect, in our casual clothes, we soon realized it was a fancier kind of restaurant. We stayed anyway and were glad we did. The food was excellent!! The waiter we had was very attentive, never letting our glasses get empty and making sure we had the best dining expereince. Can't wait to go back again!! Highly recommend the chicken parmesan...sause it to die for!!

Volere Ristorente We went to this resturant not realizing that it was a bit more fancy then we thought. We had a great waiter and really good service. We had taken out 8 mth old son and was asked several times if we needed anything for him. I would not say that his is a family resturant but they sre made us feel welcome.

Horrible and Pricey The place was closing at 11pm and we got there a few minutes after 10pm. The hostess wouldn't even come to the front to sit us and the wait staff ran over to say the cook was done for the night. Finally the manager came over and told them to seat us. It was way OVER priced. It's not kid friendly at all. There's not a kids menu. I had in 8 and 10 year old and an adult meal is to much food for them so they split and they charge $5 to split it. If you celebrate a holiday or birthday and bring a cake they cha... read more

Very nice restaurant. Wife was talked into the special of the day which was filet and lobster tail. no price was given by the waitress. So the two of us enjoyed a very nice dinner. The only problem was a table of loud mouth people who shouted all their words. Got our bill, which was $160.31 for the two of us. The "special" was not listed as the "special" but was listed as the filet and a lobster tail for about $69.00 . What a surprise.

Good food poor atmosphere. Severe lighting in a cavernous noisy environment. Food is very good but over priced for the setting. Turn down the lights and create some intimacy and it would be good.
