Live in Bloomington, Illinois. Purchased new home with ViWinTech windows installed by Franke *******. Cold air and wind come up the tracks of the windows. Temperatures at windows are 10 tp 15 degrees colder than house set temperature. Ice has formed inside of the windows at times. ******* has been out serveral times. ViWinTech has sent service person pads serveral times to install but this has not solved the problem. We have 8 windows which the seals have failed (possibly more). I began contacting the warranty representative on June 15, 2018. I was asked to send a picture of the label inside the window. I did send the picture on June 21st and was not responded to. I emailed again on July 6th asking if she had received my first email and still was not responded to. I purchased 20 ******** windows April 2004. I have the warranty which states is for the original resident purchaser/property owner for the lifetime of the product. I have several windows that the seals are broke and are cloudy in between the panes. I consider this a manufacturer defect. I called Vi Win Tech on September 20, 2018 and spoke with ****** who informed me since they declared bankruptcy in 2011 the warranty is no longer valid. I purchased 6 Impact/Hurricane resistant windows in August 2010. The warranty states it is a Lifetime warranty against workmanship,etcetera. I had a window crack and fall out of the top position and crash into the bottom. I called the manufacturer and was told to talk to the service manager. I called that person and was not able to get in touch with him for 6 days and finally I was able to speak to him and he said that I did not need to speak to him. False advertisement - their website has the AAMA certification but if you go to the AAMA's website (https://cpd.aamanet.org) they are NOT listed. When I called the company I was told "thank you for bringing that to our attention". They know they don't have that certification.
