As a cornea and refractive surgery fellow, I got an refractive evaluation by Dr Yao at Boston Vision, and I can not even even express how much impressed I am by her clinical and interpersonal skills, she was absolutely amazing. Look forward to getting refractive surgery soon. Leyla
I had PRK in one eye and Lasik in another. (PRK was necessary because I had some scarring from a past eye infection.) The Lasik was an absolute breeze-- my vision in that eye was crisp the very next morning and my pain was resolved within 36 hours. I had been warned that the PRK recovery would take longer, and it has, but I would still recommend it. Everything happened very smoothly with my experience at boston vision. Although I was anxious about the procedure, it was made as painless as possible and I always knew what to expect. Overall it was a good experience and I'm glad I did it.
I have had a very good experience with Boston Vision. They performed a thorough evaluation and re-checked some of my measurements for an ultimate recommendation of PRK. I did seek a second opinion at another facility following my initial consultation who recommended LASIK. It was very easy to set up a follow-up phone call with Dr. Brenner to discuss my measurements and answer my questions, and after discussion, we agreed that LASIK would be reasonable and safe for my situation. My experience at Boston Vision surpassed my expectations. I went into the office initially anxious as I am weary of the though of lasers in my eyes. As soon as I got to Boston Vision, I found the staff was very welcoming. They placed me in a relaxing room with snacks to ease my nerves before the surgery.
