Out of everything ecept 6 things on their whole menu, and very poor service. Took 20 mins just to get our drinks. Which the waitress had already knew what we wanted, but took so long she had to come back and ask. Had only 6 tables to look after. I can say when my girlfriend finally got her meal she really enjoyed it. I can't judge this part because I am not a vegan person. I will say the salsa had great flavor.

I would recommend this place for meat-free versions of popular Mexican dishes. I missed out on so much good Mexican food growing up because I wouldn't eat meat, but I seem to find vegetarian versions of Mexican dishes more and more these days. At Viva Vegeria, I had the mole poblano—mole made with cauliflower. It was delicious. I also had a side of pozole—also delicious! Viva Vegeria is not only vegetarian, but vegan and gluten-free. The vegan and gluten-free isn't necessary for me, but any place with a meat-free menu is a m... read more

My wife is originally from India and is a strict vegetarian. We were home for her first Christmas in San Antonio and I wanted to make sure she took part in the tamale tradition. We pre ordered the diablo tamales and my wife loved them. The folks we're also very friendly when we went to pick them up. Highly recommend if you're looking for healthy and veggie friendly tamales.

They had a special on instagram in October i believe where $50 gift cards were only $25 so I bought one and couldn't wait to make the trip to San Antonio to try it out. Finally made the 3 hour trip and invited my sister who lives in s.a. to join me. We ordered an appetizer that had the house favorites which included flautas and "wings," which were Awesome, the wings especially! We were the last customers of the day so our selection from the menu was limited. We both ended up ordering the same thing, sorry I can't remember th... read more

They are usually out of a lot of things, but all of their food is delicious so it makes up for it. I would eat here every week if I had the monies in my pockets.

I was so disappointed to see the size of the tamales so small and thin for the 10.99 price I will never eat here again

Business response:

I'm so so sorry. They are not huge but they did come with 3 plus all of our brunch bar. Which included the following, Cream of Mushroom Soup, Corn Chips, Charro Beans, Pozole , Fresh Fruit , House Romaine Salad, Pumpkin Grits. Email me at myvegeria@gmail.com I'll be glad to process you a refund since you were not happy. Saturday we serve the main entree separate and then allow you to load up all you can eat on our brunch bar. Monday - Friday we have a different menu with good portion sizes.
