RecommendedI recommend mainly for the price and great tasting food. With that being said, the service was very slow. Almost an hour to get a BLT and hamburger. Waitress had too many tables, therefore service was marginal at best. The restaurant seemed chaotic and unorganized.
So glad that Vittles is reopened. I said years ago that I’d never go back because it was so run down, but my friends wanted to try it out since it’s a new owner. They have made this place look a million times better than it ever did before, and the service and food was good. The waitress was very nice and treated us like family. I did get a chance to tell the new owner about my previous experience with Vittles and she is just a very nice lady and is doing a wonderful job. We will be back again next week!
salmon and fried green tomatoes
Texas toast looked like regular white bread, not thick. Mac & Cheese looked artificial. Chicken livers over cooked. Brussel sprouts weren’t good. Staff very pleasant. Need to do much better on their food and getting to you in a timely manner. Food did arrive hot.
35 minutes to get food. Chicken livers very dry/over cooked, ran out of corn bread, passed turnip greens off as collards, potato salad tasteless just overall sub par food.
The only negative is you cannot eat everything on the menu at one time. Fabulous
