YUCK!!!! – Well, if you are looking for good, flavorful, southern-style food this is NOT your place. The pot roast is tough and stringy, gravy tastes straight from a can, bland chicken and dumplings. The squash is bitter tasting, and the cabbage has no seasoning. They couldn't even get my son's grilled cheese right.....cheese not melted at all. I would go somewhere else, because this is not grandma's food!

Just Like My Great-Grandmom Used To Make – It is obvious that the "official" reviewer didn't grow up in a home with good Southern cooking, or Vittles would have seemed like heaven. I'd go there again just for the chess pie (which was, frankly, better than my great grandmom's). Try the Chicken & Dumplings! – Vittles serves scrumptious Chicken & Dumplings on Thursdays. Unlike other restaurants, they don't take the easy way out and serve 'biscuit' style dumplings. No, they actually serve authentic brothy Chicken & Dumplings with rolled dumplings! These are as good as my own homemade, and much easier! Southern Hospitality at it's Best – Watch out Cracker Barrel! Vittale's has a leg up on the competition with it's authentic southern food, from the homestyle greenbeans to the phenomenal pot roast to the banana pudding. Huge portions, fast service, polite servers...it's got it all. The atmosphere is comfy; good for families and kids.
