About this business

Vito & Nick's Pizzeria is popular for serving some of the best thin crust pizzas in all of Chicago. Co-owned by Vito and Nick, the restaurant is known for making Sicilian-style pizzas, prepared with high-quality, lovingly handcrafted sauce, top-notch cheese and an exclusive dough recipe. not worth it – My son and I visited this place after it was mentioned on Triple D. The service was actually ok except for the fact that our pizza was burned. I couldnt believe they had the nerve to bring a burnt pizza to the table. When I told the waitress the pizza was burnt her response was "yeah I noticed that, would you like another water?" The middle wasnt that burnt so thats what we ate. That part wasnt that great either. The only good thing about our meal was the water. Also when you asked if they have coke or pepsi .... read more

Vito & Nick's In Chicago – The absolute best pizza.Been going there since the late 60's.They used to have a spin-off of one in Mokena,Il.but they closed. They didn't even come close to the original one. There are other good ones around too,(Aurileos in Homewood,Pizza Pete in Orland Park,Beggars if you like heavy). This is still my favorite.Just wish they were in the south burbs.

Vito&Nicks...It is what it Is – I grew up three blocks from Nick&Vito and back in the late 60's and early 70's there were alot of good pizza stores in that neighborhood.I remember just a few of the names,Genos on 79th,Waldo Clooneys and another Italian place on Pulaski and a real good one on Kedzie that i can remember. So,they all quit for one reason or another but Vito&Nicks is still grinding away. Probably not the BEST pizza but pretty damn good. Get a pitcher of Old Style, watch a Sox Game and enjoy what I took for granted... read more

Horrible Service Part 2 – I'll start by saying the decision to go to this restaurant is because it was featured on Diners Drive In and Dives on the food network. The service provided by this place was worse than slow. Our total dining experience lasted 2 and 15 minutes. The amount of time it took for our waitress to do anything was excessive, with the exception of providing our check. The most agitating thing is that a couple that arrived 5 minutes after us received their food and drinks at least 15 minutes before us. The pi... read more

Horrible Service – Visited the restaurant today after hearing so many good things about your pizza. I was really disappointed. The service was awful. The place was 2/3 of the way full and there was 3 servers and we had the slowest server of the bunch. I had to find her to come and service our table. Once we finally ordered, I waited 40 min for jalapeno poppers and an additional 30 min (a total of 1 hour 10 min) for the pizza. While other tables who arrived later than us, with different servers were getting there food faster.... read more

This Place Is A DUMP and Should Be Demolished – First thing you need to know is that the place was practically empty of customers when we arrived, and this was a Saturday at nearly noon. The interior is early dumpster. The brunette behind the bar had no control over her LOUD MOUTH. The waitress was hard put to remember our order. I had to tell her three times that I wanted cream with my coffee. We waited over an hour for our two small pizzas. Finally we had to ask our waitress to check it out, which took her 15 minutes to ge... read more

Not the best and I told here to cook it extra. – Got to the ORIGINAL location about 6pm. Two big parties. This place must be popular. I have read about Vito and Nick and have ate a Vito and Nicks 2 but that is for another review that I need to do. Actually drove by one and am staying across from the other one over by Harlem. But on to the review, ordered a small sausage and cheese. extra sauce, lite on the cheese as I hate the cracks filling up as I think when you cut it that means there is too much. I also said cooked well.... read more

Best example of Chicago-style thin crust – To the reviewer who had the soggy pizza: You must just have had bad luck. I've been going to Vito & Nick's for years, and I have never experienced a soggy pizza or anything other than a superior product. Vito & Nick's is the quintessential Chicago-style cracker crust pizza. Crispy crust, nice balance of toppings, clean-tasting sauce that is not overly sweet (like Palermo's "sugar sauce.") I generally order mine well done to get a little extra char on it. Other pizza joints worth vis... read more

Way over rated – I looked up Chicago pizza on Citysearch last night and found many people raving about Vito & Nick's. I had Vito & Nick's pizza last night and what a disappointment. First of all twenty bucks for a 16" sausage and cheese and the amount of sausage was nothing to brag about. The sauce was nothing special since there was so little on it. And I was expecting this nice, thin, crisp crust the way everyone was raving about. Instead, it was this soggy slop. Luckily they cut the pizza in tiny pieces, like appetizer si... read more
