First, I will say we have been going to Vitello’s Restaurant for decades and have always given good reviews until now. We stopped by to eat on the sidewalk area because we had a 4 pound dog with us in a carry bag. This has never been an issue in the past and we would have followed and verbal directions… but we were tragically treated with bad manners. Instead of talking to us our waiter ran away from our table and out came a person who tossed a piece of paper at us non verbally … rather rudely and passive aggressively . At f... read more
Many years ago Tony owned and ran the place. I take it from the reviews that he is long gone. The five stars was simply the way it used to be
Food delicious. I had the double cut pork chop and my friend had the pistachio salmon. Both were awesome. Our waitress Aliza was awesome! She should always be requested.
Fun place to have lunch or dinner when in the neighborhood. Good cocktails and salads. Nice live music on the weekends.
I went to the upstairs E Epot Lounge for dinner and live jazz. I had the lobster ravioli. Although it was a bit overpriced for the small portion, it was the best ravioli i've ever had! My friend's pasta wasn't as delicous as mine, but still a good choice for the price. The live jazz was fantastic and the wine list was pretty extensive. I'd probably visit again for a special occasion.
I like that they have so many kinds of Italian dishes to choose from and most of them are affordable and very good for a large number of people. There are good drinks in here as well.
This restaurant has always radiated class. cannot be equalled in any other place. The assortment of salads and main courses are wonderful.
Uneatible – Nine of us went to the "dinner show" last night (12/30/11). We were celebrating with family visiting from Norway. The food was absolutely terrible. No one could finish their meal. The spagetti and meatballs was tasteless, and the shrimp risoto was very fishy. My mother-in-law (a teriffic cook herself) took two bites of her egg parmigian and stated to my wife and I that it was "uneatible". Something has changed in the last 6 months and in my opinion it is definately the food preparation. I have had better spagetti... read more
73% price increase! Goodbye Vitello's! – Apparently from what I've read, Vitello's is under new management. That explains why I paid $19 for a simple chicken parm, that used to be $10.95. I have an old menu at home, and compared the prices, and everything has increased, AN UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNT! The price of our entrees increased 73%, not a buck or two, but 73%. Seriously? Are these people crazy? And my wife and I were not happy with the quality of our meals from this new management. It's always been a great place to get a rea... read more
