The inconsistent communication from the VITAS staff is the reason for this rating. This was in part due to the many different nurses that came to check in on my Dad at his assisted living facility. Once we were waiting for the visit of a hospice nurse who said she was on her way to visit. We waited over an hour and left to learn later that she arrived at 6 pm. My mom's friend had a male nurse come in. He asked the nurse if he could help him put his pants on as he is very weak. The nurse told him that because he was walking he could do it himself. I am a nurse aide myself and a lot of these nurses think they are better than us and it is beneath them to do an aides job. I hope when the time comes for that nurses family member who has cancer gets the same kind of treatment. I am sickened over this!
Never ever use them.
We used this group for my moms in home care they were amazing!
