I love VITAS! The teams are amazing and they put patients and families first. I highly recommend it for your loved one. They are very professional and always thrive to provide the best service possible. They have a great team of case managers, social workers, chaplains, home health aids and physicians. I think they are the best hospice in Wisconsin.
I worked with the Vitas team recently with very mixed results. Russ the chaplain was great! Most of the nurses that helped my relative were great, too. What wasn't great was: social workers revising Power Of Attorney documents without solicitation or notification; screwing up my relative's Social Security benefits because of Vitas' delays; almost sending my relative's body to the wrong funeral home! Vitas has been extremely professional, sensitive and compassionate. They also communicate clearly and consistently. Very reassuring how they strive to live their mission.
Vitas hospice employees are Angel's on earth. Their compassion and kindness are unlike anything I could imagine. They treated my Mom like they would treat their own Mom. They made me feel understood and supported from Day 1. This job is extremely difficult yet they do it with grace and love each and every day. I owe them so much gratitude and appreciation.
Excellent off site hospice care for our Mother. Compassion and care from the nurse and social worker was comforting for our mom and the entire family.
