Great staff and welcoming environment.
Over medicated and killed a family member. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH A LOVED ONE. Doctor nor staff would listen to concerns or complaints. Things like not feeding patients is no big deal here. Had great appetite when dropped off only few weeks prior. Went in for temp care to adjust medication. They jumped the gun and went straight to fentynl patches! My Mom & Dad were both on Vitas Hospice before passing and I would recommend this program to anyone in need. I am a Hospice nurse myself in La crosse for Mayo clinic and I know how bitter some family members can be after the loss of a loved one. Pain meds are not used to end someone's life prematurely but rather to comfort those that are in the process of dying. Do NOT do business with this company! My father was dieing of cancer and was treated very negatively by several Vitas employees. First, they all were late to every appt. 2nd, the nurse was very rude. 3rd, the social worker made several promises and broke all of them. 4th, and the final straw... they LIED. We discussed several times that we were going on vacation for a week and they cut us off and called Home Medical and told them to hurry up to pick up oxygen machine because "they are moving out of town".
