I'm new to the area. I had regular mental health treatment for 6 years in Southern California. I've been here 2 years, just beginning search for treatment. Today was my first visit. Nobody ever helped. Nobody came to the front at all.
Walked two miles in the snow storm to have the intake whatever laughed at my issues. There's a bridge going over the interstate right outside that jokes office. Maybe think twice about that bridge or anywhere else but getting help from those heartless people. I hope they are shut down before they hurt someone. (Former outpatient client of 3+years) I debated posting for a while. This is long, but I hope it can help initiate positive change in this broken system. At first, it was great. Great therapist available in-person, great primary, office staff was kind and helpful, steady peer support, help with applications for assistance and finding work, help finding resources, all providers communicated, they even set me up with someone to look at the meds I was on (they found 100+ interactions)… Then it flopped. This place is a joke. Multiple times the staff had made appointments just to be sick, or go on leave like we don't matter. Every time I call the front desk I have a better chance calling a 10 year old phone number and having someone pickup, 99% of the time it just goes to a voicemail where I leave a voicemail and never get a response back. I've been expected to walk 6+ miles to get to my appointments or they would start shutting down services, which happened.
