Well I missed out on my Harry Potter donor shirt lol yet I had a lovely visit this time/session at Vitalant Blood Bank. You got some lovely employees that work there and care about folks that donate. They care about an individual. They make sure their clients/donors are well and healthy to be able to donate. Was recommended by a family member so far it good .
Waited 30 mins for my appointment, made eye contact with 3 different employees, was never acknowledged or told "we'll be with you soon". Walked out! Horrible customer service, rude, couldn't even acknowledge me, even though I had an appointment. Why take appointments if you're not going to keep them?
I love donating and try to give as much as I can every year. I’ve been donating for almost 10 years now. Recently, I received an email about a promotion being offered, so I scheduled my appointment and showed up to donate. After I finished donating, I asked about the promotion and was told that everything is handled online. I wasn’t aware that donors are required to have an online account or that you have to opt in to receive the promotion at the time of donation. I usually donate at the Harlingen location, but since I was in the area and it was time for my weekly donation, I made a last minute appointment (I wanted to be sure I could be seen to donate platelets, as I know there are limited machines. I got there 10 minutes late (traffic was bad) and after I signed in and indicated I had an appointment and the fast track questionnaire completed, I sat and waited.
