Nathaniel and Precious were very thorough and professional. They explained what would happen very clearly and answered any of the few follow-up questions I could have asked. They were also warm and friendly throughout the several hours I got to spend with them. I felt very safe in their hands. l'm very grateful that they were working that day and plan on coming back soon!
Do not ever donate to these people, they sell your phone number and I've been getting calls every. day. I donated once with them years ago and I'm still getting these calls from "Missy" daily. Place is a scam.
After giving GALLONS of platelets to One Blood for several years in South Florida, I moved back to Hattiesburg and gave Vitalant a try--not a good experience from first impression of old facility and staff who didn't seem to know what they were doing. They had to stop my donation after about 30 minutes as their platelets machine could not return blood back into my arm--- area around injection site was black/bruised for DAYS. Great place to donate blood
Be careful donating if at a remote bus location as they do not accept hemochromatosis donors at the remote (bus) locations and if you quiz why - they don’t bring the bag for this blood so you have to drive to the regional office. I drove to the regional office and donated. It would be nice if they indicated remote bus locations don’t have this capability on advertising. Mississippi Blood Services does accept hemochromatosis donors at remote locations.
