my son has wanted to give blood since he was 8 years old and throughout the years, we've stopped in many times with his wanting to "verify" if he really had to wait until he was 16 years old. So, on his 16th birthday, he woke up and said, today is the day. I said, YES IT IS! But he was talking about giving blood not necessarily celebrating his birthday. So after school, we walked in without an appt. and the staff were so awesome and he donated for the first time. Now, he's talking about giving platelets! Love my boy and love... read more
