I was referred to rheumatology by my PCP after a positive ANA. When I called around for an appointment I found there was a 3 month wait for IH & UofU. I called Vista Health & got an appointment for the next week. In the first appointment I saw a PA-C who asked me a lot of questions & palpated my joints. At the very end the actual doctor of rheumatology came in for 5 minutes and palpated my joints & corrected the PA-C's assessment. Waited for over an hour to get back to a room. Once I talked to the doctor, she told me to eat a plant based diet and do yoga. No labs or anything was done. Giant waste of time.
It has been very difficult to work with this office. They are nearly impossible to get a hold of, and I often run out of my prescription two weeks before my appointment because refills are not handled in a timely manner. I’ve been passed around between three different RA doctors, which has felt unprofessional and disorganized. On multiple occasions I’ve waited 35–45 minutes in the waiting room past my scheduled appointment time. Everything went fine with my visit. I do have a complaint about how your office manages requests from my pharmacy. Apparently my pharmacy sent a message a week ago Saturday and they still had not had received a response from your office on a common refill. The medical assistant that was in the room when I brought this problem up, said, “Yeah, a lot of things go missing from the fax.” Apparently, your office is aware of a problem so a new system needs to be set up to resolve the issue. …the next time I required a prescription... read more
