RecommendedI went for my very first eye exam last week and saw Dr. Sarah Manongdo-Joya. I have no idea what to expect and she was incredibly compassionate! She explained each thing before she did them so I would know what to expect. I ended up needing glasses while I read. She and Vivian helped me choose frames. Vivian explained how to choose the best style for your face, picked maybe 12 for me to try and shared honest feedback. My experience was very high touch and I recommend Dr. Manongdo-Joya got all of your eye care needs.
I took my daughter to see Dr. Joya over the weekend so she could get her kindergarten eye exam done. My daughter was a bit nervous as this was her first time seeing an eye doc and didn't know what to expect. Dr. Joya was absolutely wonderful with her and I would 100% recommend taking your kids (and yourself!) to see her - she would definitely put anyone at ease. Both Jacob and Vivian were great as well and had us in and out in no time with no issues. Thanks again!
We were concerned our daughter needed a new prescription so quickly since her last set of glasses at a different eye doctor, so we went to see Sarah Manongdo-Joya at Visionworks after several recommendations. She was so great! She made our daughter feel very comfortable and clearly explained to us how her eyes were changing. We loved our experience!!
I took my daughter to see Dr. Sarah and she was great! My daughter even had her eyes dilated. Dr. Sarah was very patient and was very thorough with explaining everything to us. She did a great job. Great experience!
I had a lot of anxiety about taking my 5 year old son with severe autism to an eye doctor. I was nervous that he would not answer questions. I was nervous that the staff would not understand. I heard about Dr. Sarah multiple times on a mom's FB group. Then one of my son's classmates mom's recommended her so I made an appointment. I wish I hadn't wasted time and energy being so nervous. I made a last minute appointment at Visionworks the other day to get my swollen eye checked out and get an eye exam (kill 2 birds with one stone, since I haven't had an exam in years). I saw optometrist Sarah Manongdo-Joya. She was wonderful! She diagnosed me with a stye and took time to let me know how to care for it. She explained the results of the eye exam and 3-D retina test very thoroughly, with some fun humor thrown in. :-) I highly recommend her and Visionworks (all the staff were very nice)!
I’m new to the whole glasses scene and I show up with my prescription, and I’m not even in there for 4 seconds before I am asked if I need help respectfully and kindly. They took the time helping me choose my glasses and finding the right size for me since I am a large man and required extended fit. My son and I have been scheduling our appointments here for years with Dr. Castro. She is the best! Trust me, I have been wearing glasses since the age of 16 and I am now in my early 40s. Once I found Dr. Castro, I decided the 40 minute drive every year for our appointments. My mom referred me to Dr. Castro, best suggestion by her ever.
Took my family to my local visionworks Riverside, Il. and i was very impressed with their staff. they were very friendly, and helpful. The manager went over and beyond his call. i feel. He checked into out insursnce and sat with us and went over it with us thorouly and took his time to explain to us what was covered and what our final bill will be. no added charges and no surprise add ons. i really appreciated that.
