We Received Good Service & a Great Pair of Glasses – I took my husband to Dr. Nicholson at Vision One for an eye exam and new glasses. We received good service and found a pair of glasses my husband adores. My husband is very picky and we have spent tons of money on designer frames and such over the years just to find something that he liked. I'd rather go to the DMV – If you thought the DMV was bad, think again. This was by far the lousiest customer service experience I have ever had. If you want a bunch of inept, rude and incompetent staff memebers to serve you-- I urge you to go to Vision One Optometry. Terrible service – I will never go back to Vision One ever again. After having to arguing with the receptionist about my benefit allowance ( she was telling me it was thirty dollars less ) I was finally able to order my contacts and was told I would be called in 7 to 10 days to pick up. When I got home and spoke to my insurance company and found out I was right about my benefit allowance I called Dr. Nicholson's office and was able to get "office credit" (what BS). Dr. Nicholson is the best – I've been going to Dr. Nicholson for at least 10 years. I persuaded my boyfriend to start seeing him, too. I came onto citysearch to grab his phone no. to order my contacts for this year, and was very upset to read some of these reviews. My experience with Dr. N is 180 degrees from these people who are complaining. I am sorry they had problems, but like about handicapped access, if you enter from Colorado, you can get right in to the desk, like 2 feet away, no step or anything. So that's not an ac... read more
Are you kidding me?? – I find most of the other reviews to this post completely suspect. Are you positive reviewers relatives of Dr. Nicholson??? I base my opinion on my own tragic experience with Dr. N and his staff. I took my mom to see Dr. Nicholson at her HMO's instruction. She was terrified that she had macular degeneration, and repeatedly told him that if she did, she wanted to get the shot that prevented the disease from progressing. His assistant gave her a test in which a dye is injected into her vein, and pictures ... read more
Professional! – Dr.Nicholson is very professional and his staff is too. The office is very big and they seem to have very high end equipment. I loved the huge selection of brand name frames that made it convenient to pick a pair after an examination. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
No handicapped access! – Dr Nicholson may be terrific, but I'll never know, because there are no cuts in the curb to permit my wheelchair to get onto the ramp leading down to this office --it was (obviously) my first visit and maybe it was just as well because they had no record of my appointment. I called today to find out if the access problem had been fixed. When I announced the purpose of the call, she replied with the utmost exhaustion, "Yeahh, yeahh, yeahh, adding she'd heard that from "a lot" of people.
GREAT SERVICE! – First of all, I?ve read the reviews below and it?s hard to believe that we?ve gone to the same place!! The customer service that I experienced from the very first contact has been top notch. I phoned them up on my lunch break one day w/ a message prepared because I was almost certain the office was going to be closed for lunch, but to my surprise a cheery young lady picked up the phone. Inept staff – After years of going here, you would think I wouldn't be shocked, but I am forever shocked and frustrated by the staff in this office. Literally, every time I go there, something goes wrong. I've been a patient there for years, and recently, they couldn't find my chart for 20 minutes. Previously, I was to see the Dr. in the San Marino office, and they didn't send my chart there. This was astonishing, as I stood in the Pasadena office and watched the Dr. ask one of the staff to have it sent over for an afternoon... read more
