Met with Amy, a patient advocate. She was very low key and zero pushing me to purchase anything. Granted I am quite educated in CT, I’ve been there many times and not felt as comfortable as I did with Amy.
My wife had never had a scan before so last year she called and set an appointment. They had an offer of 2 for 1 so she made me go with her. Her score of course was zero and mine was low but the scan showed a nodule on my lung. When I checked the size of the spot it had gotten bigger when I compared it to a ct scan i had 5 years prior. After visit to my Dr. then a pulmnologist, They did a biopsy and diagnosed stage 1 carcinoma lung cancer. I went in and had surgery removed partial lobe and was out in 3 days. People who complain about this group on our ones who just simply aren't listening and find it hard to say no. I spent time with Lynn one of the representatives and he was very nice and had a lot of good information for me. he was never pushy answered every question I had and made me feel like I was important whether I bought the contract or not I highly recommend getting this valuable service. When my wife and I heard about a heart scan from Virtual Imaging on the radio, we thought of family members who’ve had heart problems and weren’t aware until it was too late. We thought this would be an effective way in detecting any medical issues and avoid “surprises”. This was a positive experience and glad we tried this. Went in for the Heart and Lung scan. The staff was very friendly and professional. We had the consultation that we were told about ahead of time. It was very beneficial and It was not nearly as bad as some other posts on here describe. There was NO pressure to purchase anything or "timeshare" like experience whatsoever. Holy crap I needed a shower after I left that place. I came in today with the full intention of getting my Groupon fulfilled for my heart and lung scan. Instead, I had to sit through a hard press sales pitch that felt like a mix between multi-level marketing, a Nigerian prince scam, timeshare condo, and buying a used car. The service saved my husbands life! For those feeling this is a scam...would you be willing to sit through a sales presentation if the actual scan discovered a significant blockage in a major artery? After presenting the findings to hy husband's doctor, she referred him to a cardiologist. She ordered an EKG which did not find irregularities. The stress test however did find a problem. Nothing but wonderful things to say about this clinic. It is not a timeshare high pressure sell job. I look at it as an informative consultation to know my options at a time that we must be proactive about our future health and take preventive measures. My father-in-law just died of a massive heart attack that could have been prevented had I brought him here to get this done. I'd have paid $1000 for that information that could have saved his life.
