Labor and delivery is a joke. The one doctor was demanding that the choice to circumcise or not must be make IMMEDIATELY! umm, we just got there, we have until the last day to decide. And wow did she get pissy when the answer was NO. She seriously told us that non circumcised males give women cervical cancer. What if he's gay? Will he give his partners ass cancer? Wtf Virtua, send your staff back to school.
Stay has been great for the most part. Nurses and surgeon all awesome. Only complaint is when I was being moved from recovery room to my hospital room no one informed my family and they were left in the waiting room with no idea where I was or what was going on.
I work in healthcare for another organization. So I am very conscious of the practices we have in place. Mainly a good experience, but it only takes one person to ruin the experience. In this case it was the PACU RN who never handed off the case in person . Perhaps she had called it in but no one met us for over an hour in the step down/ discharge area. My son had an MRI, friendliest office I've been in. Encountered lots of staff in the hallways on the way to get coffee, extremely friendly people, very clean.
