I would like to be able to recommend this facility, but unfortunately I cannot. Our child was discharged despite our repeated efforts to keep her inpatient. We provided years of documentation showing a clear pattern of instability, including behavioral records, prior hospital records, and other supporting materials. HELLO! I would like to say that out of all the facility/hospitals I have been in this one I had by far the best experience with. now I don't like being placed there specifically because of the reason but I didn't have any reason not to like it other than I'd rather be living my life out of a mental hospital. Well, im 25 now, I was admitted twice here as a teenager and out of all the mental health facilities I was in this is the only one that helped even a little. They were never pushy with meds, the staff were the absolute best out of all 6 that I've been to, big shout out to Bo and miss birdy if yall are still working there. Id trust them with my child if they were in crisis, keep up the good work yall!
In order to “check in” here you need to be admitted by the hospital. We went to the children’s hospital in downtown Richmond. They will offer other facilities but you can decline them until there is an open “bed” here. I recommend this place - the nurses are personal and everyone was friendly. This place really felt like the first step in recovery.
