there was a nurse there, i forgot her name but she gave me like three snacks when i was supposed to have one after a rough family therapy. i loved her she was like a hospital mom.
My son was a patient in VTCC’s partial hospitalization program (PHP). We have received nothing but the best care from this staff and facility. Following an abhorrent experience with a local psychiatric provider, we pivoted to VTCC for more competent, compassionate care. My son was experiencing a mental health crisis. VTCC intake took our situation seriously and prioritized safety and immediate intervention. My son did not qualify for in-patient treatment, but was referred to their PHP program. I had a very frustrating and concerning experience with this facility. While the building itself was clean and appeared well-maintained, the level of organization and supervision was extremely disappointing. There was rarely anyone available at the front desk, and the call bell to gain entry was broken, which made access unnecessarily difficult. Staff also moved very slowly when assistance was needed. I was admitted here back in 2019 when I was 16 a couple days after being admitted it was my birthday and the staff baked me a birthday cake and everyone sang happy birthday to me including the other kids they even decorated my room door I will never forget how happy I felt that day everyone i met was so kind especially James a nurse I met he would always bring me snacks because I was too afraid to ask and he would talk to me and play basketball with me I hope he knows how much he helped me i never forgot about him.
I would like to be able to recommend this facility, but unfortunately I cannot. Our child was discharged despite our repeated efforts to keep her inpatient. We provided years of documentation showing a clear pattern of instability, including behavioral records, prior hospital records, and other supporting materials. Despite concerning behaviors and statements, there appeared to be a strong push to discharge her in less than 24 hours after admission (which fell on a weekend) from her first social worker.
