Have been seeing Virginia for several years. I changed insurance companies due to my husband's job change. Due to this change, my monthly migraine pain medication was denied and I needed prior authorization. My pharmacy and myself made several calls and attempts to reach her. NO RESPONSE! I finally had to make an appointment with Virgina. I mentioned this to the provider - in response to her question as to how I was feeling. She became very defensive and cried: "You're yelling at me! Provider doesn't listen to what you say. She also takes several weeks to send in pre-auths. I was seen on 12/28 and called today and she still hasn't sent in paperwork for insurance approval. Unfortunately this isn't the first time. This happens every time you need a pre- auth. You really have to advocate for your health!
