I like Dr. Whitney . She is very knowable in regards to medications. She listens to me as a patient. I encourage patients to advocate for themselves. A doctor can only do so much without your input. As for the office staff, Dr. Whitney does not have anything to do with them in regards to what the team should be doing. There is a team at this location that is charge of the staff. Have been seeing Virginia for several years. I changed insurance companies due to my husband's job change. Due to this change, my monthly migraine pain medication was denied and I needed prior authorization. My pharmacy and myself made several calls and attempts to reach her. NO RESPONSE! I finally had to make an appointment with Virgina. I mentioned this to the provider - in response to her question as to how I was feeling. She became very defensive and cried: "You're yelling at me! Provider doesn't listen to what you say. She also takes several weeks to send in pre-auths. I was seen on 12/28 and called today and she still hasn't sent in paperwork for insurance approval. Unfortunately this isn't the first time. This happens every time you need a pre- auth. You really have to advocate for your health!
