I have donated three times at this location, and have yet to have a positive experience. Aside from that, the methodology of securing personal items while donating leaves MUCH to be desired. Items are placed in a closed cabinet below the bed, and it is up to the donor to get these items upon procedure complete. But, if these items are not recovered before leaving, the items will be donated. This happened to me, and I have been attempting to track down these items for over a year with no luck. My decision to help with the critical blood shortage has cost me $1901.44 (bills I've received so far, more pending...) I donated blood on 9/2/24. Left the donation center in an ambulance after passing out and throwing up twice. Medical bills I've received so far total $1901.44. Be aware that this could happen to you. Trying to help shouldn't cost me this much money. While I have blood to give I can't afford this bill I now have.
