This is the most incompetent physician's office! This reflects on who hired, trained and keeps them in place.....i.e. Vipul Patel. The worst one is the "new patient coordinator", Alina. My doctor recommended I try Patel, and Alina told me that Patel does not do this surgery. My doctor called Patel, so Alina called me back to say she did not say that. I played back the conversation we had, and she hung up and asked coworkers not to call me back. Patel does not know what goes on in his office!
Developed prostate cancer at age 53. Went through radiation treatment which was ultimately unsuccessful. Dr. Patel was one of very few surgeons willing to attempt prostate removal after radiation treatment. Prostate removal surgery performed in November 2012. Excellent results. Cancer free since.
After being diagnosed with prostate cancer I read everything I could get my hands on concerning treatments and physicians. I saw doctors at John Hopkins, UF Health, Cleveland Clinic, Sloan Kettering and Dr. Patel. (Insurance paid for all visits, I paid for all travel, your life is worth no less) I chose Dr. Patel from his superior experience and personality. He is truly a caring man and will answer all your questions. On each post surgery visit, 5 over two years, Dr. Patel personally saw me.
botched taking out my prostate. I still have cancer, I now leak, and the dang guy cut the nerves to my penis. Another oncologist told me that almost 100% of the time when your score is above ten, taking out the prostate will not get all the cancer. Patel did not begin to tell me that. So, he sells surgery but I needed radiation. Now I have all these problems and I still need radiation. I could have skipped surgery if he would have told me the truth. I sent an e mail to him, no response.
Dr Patel performed prostatectomy 3 years ago using DaVinci Robot. I am still cancer free w NO psa registering on blood tests. No side effects from surgery with 100% full functions. I recommend him frequently......truly highly skilled, top surgeon!
