My grandmother has lived in the facility for many years. Her room is decent 1bd 1ba with a small kitchen. The new management isn't as friendly and open has the old one though

USA Multifamily Management bought this affordable housing complex in Dec. 2012 and immediately our association was disbanded along with the activities director being let go. All activities in the clubhouse were no more. They have done a complete upgrade of air conditioning, faucets, new lighting, frig, stove and dishwasher. The parking lot was sluried and parking space assigned. The new appliances are cheap (no temp gauge on the oven so need an oven thermometer). The maintenance man is condesending and arrogant. The parking isn't great; the staff has been friendly, but once a month they have needed to check something in the apartment - one time it was the smoke detectors; another time they needed to check that all the appliances worked. It has been very annoying. I feel like I can't make it home because they are coming in all the time.
I rented here for 10 months and I always had a problem being over charged with rent and late fees, even thoug I was always on time. The office staff appears to be welcoming, but when you have a problem or bring it to their attetion they will make up an excuse on the spot for the charges. I kept all receipts and every month had to have my account recharged for their mistakes, I still have not received full refund of my deposit, I am still being charged for a storage unit I no longer have and the office all of a sudden can't r... read more
