Vinoteca

4.2

About this business

Located off U Street, a lane popular for eateries and shopping outlets, Vinoteca offers a great variety of dishes that make the best use of ingredients available. The executive chef Zoeller uses his expertise to create tantalizing varieties of eggs, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, ribs, soups and seafood preparations. The dining room, with its dim lighting, offers an elegant ambiance to dine in. Guests can also relish their meal on the breezy patio, beneath the shade of an umbrella.

Mixed feelings I have mixed feelings on Vinoteca. They have a sizable wine list, and the food is decent, but the service is spotty. The wait can be long if you want a table. Each time I've been there, the hostess seems confused, as if it's her first night on the job. It can be frustrating when all you want is a drink or something to eat.
