Highly Overrated – Inaccurate reviews. The atmosphere was very loud and crowded. The candle lights in the restrooms were more romantic than the table settings in the restaurant itself. Food was OK but not worth the price. Certainly not in my list of top ten restaurants. My best rating would be an average recommendation. We had reservations and still had to wait.
Bravo Nicola. – The chef is fantastic. Creative takes on the best of Italian tradition. The freshest fish you've ever tasted. Bravissimo. The wine list is slanted towards small producers of the highest quality with prices to match.
Real Italian food at your best. Los Angeles has 100's of great places to eat. I visit Italy more than 10 times a year as I am in the Italian Shoe Business. No Spaghetti and Meatballs, No Pizza's, No signing waiters, But Italian food as good as it gets. Bravo!
Has declined in quality. – Since new chef in charge, quality has taken a dive. In last experience, neither the waiter nor his superior knew the wine and could recommend a satisfying wine. Food not up to former chef's creativity or sensitivity.
GUANCIALE AT LAST!!! – Its about time! I felt like I was back in Lazio/Emilia Romana when I found a decent, artisinal quality guanciale incorporated into dishes on the menu. The house produces its own, which is unusual for the West Coast. The pasta dishes are excellent and the pricing is fair. Simply the best! – This restaurant serves food made exactly the same way you would have in a fine restaurant in Italy by the Adriatic Riviera. Top quality food, fresh ingredients, freshly made, some of the fresh fish is imported from Italy, you can see what you eat etc...
