Dr. Kater retired January 31, 2019 under a bombardment of accusations from the medical board. We patients will soon know why it's so difficult to find a doctor, the type of doctor that Dr. Kater was: brilliant, caring, up to date on techniques etc, gave a big hug at the beginning of appointment, counseled on other ways to fight insomnia or pain but would cautiously prescribe a minimal amount necessary. The medical board ousted a fine doctor and I've lost respect for the board. Find the bad drs!
Dr. Kater is one of the very best Mds I have ever gone to w/o question! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a GP/family practice doctor - w/o reservation. It is alway easy to get in to see him. He always make you feel valued, and his entire staff are just as nice. Wait time is never excessive, but I would wait to see him if I had to. He always listens and answers questions and supports your concerns in a warm and caring manner.
I have been going to Dr. Kater since May 2011 after a stay in the hospital and nursing home due to a blood clot in my leg. Dr. Kater and his nurse Peggy are caring and compassionate people. Matt in billing is a Rock Star. Appointment turn around time is good. Luv these guys!!!
