We discovered this place in 2012 when we went to Asheville for my birthday! Now every time we go to Asheville, we make it a point to stop in and have lunch. They have an amazing menu, so many choices, and the place itself is just plain awesome. Laurel was our server yesterday and she was fantastic. Checked on us frequently and even helped me pick out a t shirt. The service and food was phenomenal as always, and that is why we keep coming back. Always a fun time with an awesome meal at Wayside.
We went to Village Wayside after walking out of Corner Kitchen. Our server at CK seemed very unhappy that we didn’t order drinks from the bar and didn’t come back. We left and found Wayside. The service was excellent and the food was even better! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. We sat at a window by the train tracks. Oh, and we ordered from the bar! I highly recommend!!
