Rumours are a bad thing. Please either substantiate or refute the following. Dr. James Prothman - you docked a shih tzu's tail while he was in for dew claw removal. You must comment on this and if it is true explain the life threatening situation that must have compelled you to do such a horrible and unnecessary procedure on an innocent dog.
When my late kitty, Ash, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at 11 years old, my vet at the time was pushing for a $1,200 leg amputation. I went to Dr Prothman for a 2nd opinon, at the advice of my sister. He was very up front and straight forward, but also compassionate about the fact that it didn't look good. He takes care of all my babies, Such a caring vet, and so willing to listen to your concerns, and explain what he needs to.. AND he is young and wont retire on me like my past vets did..
