The first Gyrotonic classes my friend and I took were at Village Gyrotonic, located at 35 Bedford Street in the West Village. When a teacher we liked moved to a different studio, we followed him, and over time, we ended up working with numerous teachers in various locations. After Covid, when studios began reopening, we decided to return to Village Gyrotonic. The studio is small but very clean, and the equipment is wiped down after every student. An absolutely wonderful gem of a Gyrotonic studio. The owner and manager ( Esther & Zoe) are kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Although I try my hardest to get my body tangled up in knots every time I arrive at the studio, both Jamila and Esther have an uncanny knack for making me feel great and energized after each session. Only come to VG if you want to feel happy and refreshed!
