I found this gem because of my search for garlic balogna. This place took me back in time to when you get fresh cut meats and things you can't find anywhere else, but it's so much more! There are prepared meals for one or a family, sides ( my hubby thinks the collards are to die for) , huge muffins, ambrosia yum! This is definitely worth a stop in if you're within 40 miles of New Bern!
Extremely picky about foods I purchased and eat, You can pick so many items up and cool last minute. Being from NY, I miss wonderful Italian food. This place hands down has the best meatballs.
As the daughter of a butcher, I have been spoiled all my life with excellent cuts of meats. When visiting the New Bern area in July, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of meats being provided by the The Village Butcher. The meats were/are fresh, high quality, tender with a delicious flavor. I highly recommend The Village Butcher.
So thankful for Village Butcher when you plain just run out of time! So many great things to pick up instead of fast food!
