The apartment’s contractor accidentally triggered the sprinkler system by placing a heat gun under it, flooding my unit and damaging my belongings. Instead of taking responsibility for their contractor’s negligence, management tried to hold me liable for the building damage and even threatened eviction (although all rents are paid in full and on time).
