Candie Nickles and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary tonight, and our meal was absolutely fabulous. Candie had the Crispy Skinned Duck, and I had the Grilled Steelhead. The fish was cooked perfectly. It was accompanied by a seared polenta cake and roasted brussel sprouts. Candie's duck was also cooked perfectly, and was served with a butternut squash purée and also the roasted brussel sprouts. Service was prompt, and very attentive. Tonight was not our first time at View 202, and certainly will not be the last.
This place was great! However the food to atmosphere ratio is a bit off. The food was mediocre while the atmosphere, location and service were amazing! We will definitely be coming back just for the atmosphere if anything!
Valentine's Day Dinner was awful! We were told that we couldn't get in till 8:30 and when we arrived a few minutes before 8:30 we saw a nearly empty restaurant. The 4 course dinner was so poorly executed and prepared. The clam chowder was watery and void of flavor(maybe the chef should go to Pismo Beach and try real Pismo chowder). The salad was ok and the appetizer was bland. My pasta was over cooked and drenched in sauce! No love was in the food that night!
Have always loved this place but tonight on New Years was ridiculous, I called in reservations ahead and no one told me the only way to eat is to pay for a $60 dollar 4 course meal per person, with barely any selection at all, so thanks for the waste of time on New Years guys.....

Food was amazing, the filet mignon was soo delicious it just melts in your mouth! Service was great, ambience was perfectly relaxing and drinks were delicious! What more can you ask for.
Food and service is top notch. My new favorite place!
The food was excellent! And the atmosphere was cool and relaxing. I can't wait to go back!
