Hawthorne Management is the worst property management company I've ever experienced. I was happy with my stay here until they took over. I was served two sets of eviction notices "on accident," they have lost my packages on several occasions, and we're grossly overcharged for water. Was scheduled to move in and the office was CLOSED. I'm homeless with 3 children!!!!!!!! We've been screwed around since the application process, should have known better. Calling around to find another place to live and the local competition confirms that you don't have it together. Horribly unprofessional.
Hawthorne Residents/Properties is deplorable! The management team that I signed my first lease agreement (Ms. Wanda, where are you) were awesome. I never had a complaint or issue until this company came along. Billing is an issue and when the mistakes are made on their behalf, they post "NOTICES" to collect a debt. You can't get in touch with the corporate office EVER, and the gated system is no longer a deterrent for undesirables (there was a shooting on the property in January). Office staff is never available and uninformed due to lack of training, maintenance staff is worthless all they do is ride around in golf carts smoking their e-cigs. I once watched four of them working on installing one door knob... You would think it was rocket science.. For the amount you pay for rent the amenities and grounds are lacking and if I'm paying 1,200 for rent I expect great service all around and top notch facilities!!! If you have other options I suggest considering them!!
Didn't think management could get any worse. But, the new management is awful! Reported a maintenance issue a month ago and called 4 times... Still no word from them. When you walk in the office... They just sit there and hardly speak. No bill this month and closed the entire weekend for Labor Day so who knows what rent is this month because it changes month to month! So disappointed and I will be leaving as soon as my lease is up!!! You people could care less about your residents and how much we pay.
