The West Des Moines location closed shortly after pulling November dues and a month later and multiple requests to their owner who communicated the closure there has been no communication. The coaches at WDM were amazing and the closure was not part of their decision so I don't want this review to reflect poorly on them. However, the communication of the closure from Co-Founder/CEO Stasi Grenfell and there has been zero communication since. Where do I even start? This place is so much more to me than a gym. I have been a member for over 3 years now, and Victress Elkhorn has shown me empowerment, community, friends (more like a family, really), and strength - physical and beyond. Not only did this place play a large part in me losing ~150 lbs, it has helped me gain back my sense of self. I joined Victress about 9 weeks ago and it’s the best decision I could have made! I love the atmosphere, the coaches are so supportive and knowledgeable and all the members are fantastic. It truly feels like a community. I am currently pregnant and I always feel safe in the workouts I am doing but still challenged which was important to me! I highly recommend Victress to any woman looking for a change in their workouts and fitness!
