Dr. Bernstein saved my life. Twice! He helped me to overcome severe depression and helped to give me the courage and self esteem to be able to move on with my life. Then, a couple of years later when I found myself in an abusive relationship, he helped me to get the help I needed to leave my abuser. Without Dr. Bernstein I can say without a doubt I would not be alive today. I even got the courage to go back to school and I'm now officially a college graduate! I would recommend his services to anyone needing counseling.

I have been a lawyer for 43 years. Due to a recent family trauma, I had occasion to seek my own psychological counseling and began seeing Dr. Bernstein. I found his knowledge, professionalism and demeanor to be outstanding. His office is clean, efficient and organized. His most salient attribute is that he is direct and honest with his clients, while at the same time he is very caring about them. In all of my years of dealing with professionals in this field, I would rate Dr. Bernstein at the very top of the list.

Dr. Bernstein was extremely helpful in getting me through some relationship issues. His perceptiveness about me and the people in my life who were causing me stress allowed me to develop a new way of looking at my relationships and allowed me to decide whether or not to engage. This took a lot of the stress out of the relationships. His kind demeanor and sense of humor made dealing with these issues easier than I thought it would be. Thank you Dr. Bernstein.

I saw the doctor four times and did not feel that I was given a plan / road map / milestones for success. The lack of definition was disconcerting I prefer a more formal approach with meassurable results Also, when I requested a 10 min phone call between appointments, I was told the charge would be $50. The policy states "extended calls will be billed at normal rates" - 10 minutes is not extended

My first experience with a different psychologist was not a good one so honestly I wasnt expecting much. However Dr. Bernstein saved my life. Twice. I was deeply depressed - going through a divorce & many unresolved childhood issues. He helped me to work through my issues & depression so I could get on with my life.
