nice night out – My wife and I like to try new places we were headed to pracna and decided to try Vics! What a beautiful room and a priceless view of the river. The server was quite affable and helped us select our entrees .We had a nice bottle of wine a great dinner and a relaxing time out. THANKS WE'LL BE BACK!
What a waste of money.... – If youre afraid that we might be heading into a deflationary period, just head to Vics and rest easy. And better yet, if your idea of a good time is paying $14 for two tiny crab cakes, $21 for a little tasteless piece of fish, and $7 for a small ala carte side of asparagus to go with your puny fish fillet, then Vics is the place for you. If however, you want to go out and get a meal you will find totally satisfying, head to Zelo, and then go to Tuggs for drinks afterwards if you want to sit outsid... read more
Excellent All Around – I thought the food, service and ambiance all made my trip to Vic's worthwhile. The tenderloin medallions were so tender I could cut through them easily with my fork. They were unique and flavorful. The asparagus was crisp and fresh and served with a delicious hollandaise sauce. Of course, the view of the river is beautiful, but so was the interior of the restaurant. I enjoyed wonderful service (the manager is friendly and stops by your table) and I thought the prices were in line with other restaurants... read more
major disappointment – Spending a lot for what should be a good meal is not an issue. Spending a lot and not getting a good meal is. I had the "Crispy half duck" It was not crispy and rather under done. My wife had pork prime rib which was dry and over done in a salty mushroom sauce. Sides are extra. Way too much for a tomato salad - 3 slices, some shredded cheese and balsamic vinegar and $7.50 for a side of asparagus. Try elsewhere.
Peaceful, Elegant, & Breath of Fresh Air – Vic's was the 1st Restaurant we had as a Married Couple. Married the night before we stayed at Nicollet Island Inn and took a walk along the river - We are glad we did!! Monday, June 23 at noon - we stopped into Vic's and enjoyed a peaceful & romantic lunch on the patio, with a great view, great service & great food - memories were made. The food was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. Compared to the buger joints next to it - the prices were awesome. My sweeties meal was $... read more
Vic's – Huffy waitress lied about specials , after we specifically asked about specials we were told there were none because it had been a very busy weekend. Ten minutes later a new table right next to us was given a specials menu (different waitress). Food was overpriced. My $20.00 piece of salmon was overcooked and came with nothing. For the same price I could have eaten at Auriga, Marimar, Chet's, Heartland and any other good restaurant in town. Their deck does have a nice view of the river though.
