I had lunch at Vicky’s Cafe and it was a really pleasant experience overall. With a 4.7 rating, my visit definitely matched the hype. I spent around $20–30, which felt reasonable for the quality. There was no wait for a table, and the cafe was quiet and relaxed, making it easy to have a conversation without feeling rushed or crowded. Vicky’s Café is one of the few restaurants on the FIU campus that doesn’t offer a student or faculty discount. They’re busy all day long, and it’s clear they’re doing very well, which makes what happened today feel even more disappointing. After I had already paid for my meal, I asked for a side of spicy sauce.
