Dr. Shimoyama talked directly to my son about his health, his life and his body. She asked about his interests and checked on his mental health, too.
I'm thankful we have such a personable and knowledgeable pediatrician. Dr. Shimoyama spoke directly to my son and showed genuine interest in his life and his health. She asked about meds and therapies we use for his autism. She made the kids feel good about themselves and the healthy choices they make. She listened and responded to all of our questions and concerns. She made me feel like I'm doing okay as a mama to a child with special needs. I appreciate her thorough yet warm manner.

Dr. Shimoyama has been my twins doctor since birth. They are 13 years old now and both are healthy. She’s an excellent doctor. She listens to my concerns (lots) and guides me to navigate the healthcare system. She helped us tremendously and made sure the kids get the best care at all times including referrals to the best doctors at Cedars Sinai.
