I was in ICU from 3/10-3/12 I had the most amazing nurses during this critical time, they were all professional and kind. From the cleaning staff, meal lady, phlebotomists and many doctors, excellent, skilled clinicians. I am thankful and grateful for you all.
This organization presents itself as a top-tier hospital, but based on my experience, it operates like a failed and careless entity. There is a clear lack of coordination, accountability, and basic due diligence. Despite submitting all of my required medical records in full—including the exact test results they later claimed were missing—I was contacted and told otherwise. I was made to believe my husband would get “comfort care” but the amount of morphine and dilaudad along with trying to starve my husband to speed up my husband’s death (causing my husband to stop breathing and heart to stop) didn’t feel that way. It was rather a chess game between myself, the staff of IMCU and Kaiser Permanente. Figuring out the finesse of the system. I had a very upsetting experience visiting my mother at this hospital. While she is already going through a mental health crisis, I expected staff to act professionally and respectfully — but that was not my experience. A staff member became aggressive and disrespectful while I was speaking to my mother. He made inappropriate comments and told me to leave in a rude manner.
