We initially used these guys as emergency vets, but soon realized that they are one of a kind! From the time you walk through their door until you leave, you are met with smiles, compassion, intelligence and thoughtfulness. We have seen just about all the vets and vet techs and have never been disappointed. The receptionists/intake are out of this world too! They are now our our everyday vets. (We have 3 dogs.)
I cannot say enough about this place. They went above and beyond to save my beloved Patty. We traveled all the way from Richmond for their services I was turned away by numerous emergency vets here in Richmond. VETSS took my green cheek conure into their care without hesitation. She had teflon posioning which has a very high mortality rate. I was not expecting my baby to survive. The veterinarians, veterinarian technicians and staff made it their mission to save my little one. I have never recieved such compassion and care f... read more
We had one great experience when our dogs got into poison and were very happy with this clinic. Then we took our young dog in and they completely misdiagnosed her, had us take her off the meds our regular vet had prescribed. They told us she was sick with a potentially fatal infection and put her on three very expensive meds. She did not get any better over the weekend. In fact she got much worse. We took her back to our regular vet on Monday. She had been on the right drug. She needed steroids added to her regimen. She was ... read more
We visited twice. Once after my dog impaled himself with a tree branch. He had to have emergency surgery. Dr. McKenna was very sincere and capable and took great care of my dog. Fast forward 1 year and three month, and both my dogs got into our Christmas raisin cookies. Again, Dr. McKenna was there and saved my dogs. The staff is super friendly and capable! Any pets are in great hands at VETSS.
My dog Ellie received great emergency care this weekend at VETSS! They were upfront about costs from the beginning, and kept me posted on how she was doing. I was very stressed with the possibility of Ellie having to undergo surgery (thankfully she didn't) but everyone at VETSS was understanding, caring, and knowledgable. I felt very comfortable knowing she was in great hands with them overnight. They were down to earth and took time to address my questions and concerns. Thank you, VETSS!
Thank you for taking care of my Mr.Pickles! Glad to know you guys are so close.
I am very disappointed that I was charged 800$ for what amounted to bandages, drugs, and a couple of x-rays for my cat, then my sick, malnourished cat was vaccinated AGAINST MY EXPRESS WISHES. She is even more sick now and if she dies, I'll never know if the vaccine was part of the problem, since ONLY healthy cats should ever be vaccinated. I will never ever trust them with an animal, since they totally disregarded my rights as the owner and the one who cares most about my cat.
These are the best vets around. They care about your furry kids and are just great vets
First of all, I'm going to spare everyone the gross details of why we brought our dog into VETSS and just say how wonderful everyone at this practice was for us. We ended up having to take our little guy in at 9PM on a Friday night for symptoms that included severe dehydration. We called in (as recommended) and by the time we arrived, they had a room ready for us and our very ill dog. Dr. Jagger in particular was excellent with him, showing plenty of compassion for our sick little buddy while also keeping the mood bright wit... read more
