We can not say enough great things about our experience with Dr. Lewis as well as all of his staff. His expertise, professionalism, communication and most importantly his compassion were exceptional. Our 12 year old, Marlin, had to have clean margins for an oral melanoma and the surgical procedure was quite extensive, removing part of his jaw. All of the staff here are amazingly nice and super supportive. The only downside is, it's expensive. For the price though, you get the undivided attention of the Dr and the anesthesiologist who perform only dental procedures. I hope I don't need them again, not because it was expensive but because I would like to not put my dog through the ordeal again. But if I need doggy dental work, I will come back here in a second. I can not say enough about this practice! Our Waldo, who is 15 years old was diagnosed with a melanoma in his mouth requiring surgery. Dr. Hermann and the entire team could not have been more attentive and caring. You definitely feel like you are of the utmost importance to this group and they focus on you and your pet. A truly wonderful experience with Dr. Herrmann and the team at VDS! I was very concerned about our fur baby, Hillary, being under anesthesia and they all made sure to ease my concerns, were extremely empathetic to my situation, and communicated with me constantly throughout the whole procedure and post-op. Hillary was also experiencing a very intense dermatological issue that required her to go under in order to take skin biopsies. VDS is excellent! I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Lewis for a consult. My boy Bauer has been through a lot in his life and is super nervous. During the consult Dr. Lewis took his time, and gave Bauer the chance to get used to him. He was not in a rush at all and really took the time to work with Bauer.
