All those who go here, or planning to do so, read this comment and take it to heart. The Doctors here will rush you and be very dismissive of your medical conditions. They rush everything and forget alot of things in the process. To get the proper help you need you must be very adamant to the point of almost being pushy. I had to fight with my Doctor just to have them refer me out for my problems. My experience here was terrible. Showed up at 0800 for blood tests, and they had no one here to draw blood at 0827 in the AM. Was ticket number L017 and not one person was taken into the lab to have their blood drawn. I know this because L001 was sitting next to me. Ridiculous to waste our veterans time. Do better VA!!!
You always hear bad reviews about the VA in general. The people that work here in Virginia Beach should not be grouped into that stigma. They're friendly and work efficiently.
I was here a a few days ago for labs to start care in the area. It took 2 hours just to give blood and it's a good thing I didn't go to the bathroom because they asked for a urine sample which I wasn't aware that I would have to do. The lab techs were at most civil, not friendly. I felt like I was just a number, not a person. This place needs a better process. Labs have never taken me this long. I have NEVER had an issue here. By reading some of the negative reviews, I wonder how long some of these people served? I was just there today to get bloodwork done. Plenty of parking and was in and out in less than 20 min. Of course I didn't go there between 8-9 am.
