Good food! I'm glad this restaurant remained open.
I've never had a bad dining experience there. The food is upscale and consistent. The staff has always been very prompt and attending, but never smothering. The historical building just adds to the dining. The bar located in the rear of the restaurant is a great place to watch a game or race and over the course of many years have never seen it anything but a great place to enjoy a drink and take in some sports. Take note though. They host a pretty rowdy UK/U of L party!! Always fun!! Never a "road house" event.
A very great restaurant to eat at. Would recommend it to everyone
Our group has returned to eat at Verlies many times because the food is great. I'm especially fond of the Chicken Salad Sandwich served on a Delicious Cranberry Bread. Their menu has a large variety of choices all of which are great.
