I saw Dr. Socolar for a few years but sadly had to go to a new provider because of a change in insurance. Dr. Socolar helped me reach many of my goals and balance my medication to make my life better. She took the time and really listened to what I wanted to change and helped me achieve it. One of the first questions she asked me when we met were: "what are your preffered pronouns, and preferred name?" She is very knowledgeable and supporting. I came to the US almost 2 years ago and was heavily depressed. Dr. Socolar immediately found the right medication regimen that helped me function like a normal person.

Very knowledgeable with what she does, has always made me feel comfortable in sessions. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a new doctor to prescribe some medications or to help you find the right one.

Verena has proven to be instrumental in maintaining a realistic approach to the challenges that past and current events of live have presented. She has an extensive knowledge base and uses an eclectic approach providing a safe and comfortable place to be seen, heard and validated. She is quite skilled at keeping the focus on the presenting issues. Verena practices with compassion and understanding. She also has a fabulous sense of humor which I greatly appreciate.
